15th Year Rededication Anniversary

The Glory Tabernacle started with a morning service conducted at the Agbowo Shopping Complex on 7th January 1990. We believed then even as we do now, that God was leading us. Since that first service, we have not experienced the Lord forsaking us or His status in our midst depreciating. He has been “ever faithful and ever sure.”

As we live to see the sixteenth “7th January” we think it necessary to look back and consider our experiences and God’s faithfulness in these past fifteen years. Our experiences have no doubt been so varied. There were moments of joy and sadness, of peace and strife, of power and weakness, of calmness and fear, of abundance and lack, and so on. But through them all, we have learnt that all things work together for good to them who love God and who are called according to His purpose. We have also learnt that each experience was actually a necessary point of progress, no matter how unprogressive they might have seemed.

We also recall that there are several people whom God used at one point or the other to add to whatever success we may be said to have today. What the Glory Tabernacle has become is not just the effort of only those who are presently the members. It is the product of various contributions by different people at different times in our very short history. We are very grateful to God for every one of such people. And, you are one of those!

This is why we are gladly extending this invitation to you to join us in celebrating our rededication anniversary which holds 6th – 9th January 2005. In particular, those of you who held a deaconate or higher post will be specially honoured on Saturday 8th January. Please endeavour to come. In case you have held anything against us, this is the time to put it behind you. Come and let us rededicate ourselves to God afresh. What is ahead of us is surely greater than whatever we have seen in the last fifteen years.

I welcome you with joy in the Lord.

Dr Uzodinma Adeogo Obed

(General Pastor)
