General Pastor
 Dr.
U. Obed was born again on 4th April, 1970.He
was baptised in the Holy Ghost four years later. Since then,
the manifestation of God’s hand upon him has been increasingly
mighty.
He completed
his Ph.D. in Physics Education in 1983 at the University of
Ibadan, Nigeria. He taught in the same University from 1983
to 1992, when he resigned as a Senior Lecturer for full time
service in the Lord’s vineyard.
While teaching
in the University, he was among those whom the Lord used to
run the Senior Staff Fellowship which has become a model for
other Nigerian Universities. From May 1986 to September 1989,
he was also the pastor of the New Covenant Church in Ibadan,
Nigeria. Within the time he laboured in this church, the membership
grew from four hundred to over two thousand seven hundred
within fourty months.
The Lord led
him to start the Glory Tabernacle Ministry on 7th
January 1990. Dr. U. Obed focuses his ministry on Revival,
Discipleship, Leadership, and Missions Support.
