Women
The Glory Women’s
Team is the team for all married women in Glory Tabernacle
Ministry. For a woman to be a recognized member of Glory Tabernacle
Ministry, she must be a member of this team and have at least
60% attendance in our meetings. The Team came into existence
in the year 1992 when Dr (Mrs.) Chy Obed the wife of the General
Pastor addressed some women in the Ministry on issues concerning
women specifically.
Goals:
The goal of
the Team is make the women godly women that are daughters
of Zion different from the worldly women in all things. That
God will look upon the women and be glad. Another goal
is to assist the women to focus on the things of heaven and
eternity, not on earthly things alone, so that, that day will
not meet us unaware and unprepared.
Activities:
Team activities
include periodic meetings, retreats, all-night prayer meetings
and pregnant sisters prayer meetings. The team is also
involved in traditional marriage ceremonies of members of
the ministry.
The Deborah
Convention is an annual programme that takes place within
the team. It is usually a 4-day program. Our major objective
is to be used of God to influence other women from outside
our own Ministry both nationally and internationally in a
godly manner. It started in the year 1999.
The Women inter
Zonal Bible quiz competition that takes place once a year.
Another program called “SEARCH THE SCRIPTURE” (STS) is aimed
at encouraging members to finish reading the whole Bible within
2 years.
