The Visitation Team

Goals:

Generally, the Visitation Team of the Glory Tabernacle Ministry participates actively in the sharing and caring mission of the Ministry towards both visitors and members of the Ministry. Specifically, the team receives all first-time visitors/worshippers in the Church and devotes considerable amount of time to reaching out to new comers as a way of helping get them established in the faith.

Activities:

  1. New comers are visited, encouraged with the word of God and prayed for.

  2. They are encouraged to join the neighbourhood fellowship at the centre nearest to their residences or place of employment for Bible study on Tuesdays and Prayer meetings on Fridays.

  3. In collaboration with the counseling team, we witness to new comers who have not responded to the altar call for Salvation.

  4. At their request, newcomers are counselled in collaboration with the Counseling Team.

The visitation team, visits newly wedded couples in the church or any family with a new addition or any member or family carrying one form of heavy burden or the other, in order to encourage them, share in their sorrows and encourage them.

Apart from Physical Visitation, the Visitation Team reaches out to Visitors through correspondence. This is especially with respect to visitors who are not resident in Ibadan.

Members meet every Sunday morning at 7.30a.m prompt for intercession and Wednesday at 5.00p.m before the Team proceeds on visitation. The Team’s monthly fasting and prayer meetings take place on the first Saturday of every month at 4.00p.m for intercession.
